May 11, 2007: Underdog issue 15
Is out now in print and online -- download the 2Mb PDF from here. This issue is packed with articles on the William Morris Gallery and Vestry House Museum, Olympics land grab, Whipps Cross Hospital, health and safety at work, May Day, Prince Charles, sexism, NCP and traffic cameras.

February 15, 2007: Beds for Whipps, not bombs for Blair
After the successful demonstration at Whipps hospital on Saturday, local people followed-up by protesting next door to the hospital at the Walthamstow's Territorial Army Barracks. The protest highlighted the massive amounts of money spent on war, as against the chronic shortage of money for the NHS. (Read more in our recent press release; pictures here and here.)

April 10, 2004: Mayday public meeting
We are holding a public meeting on Saturday May 01, 2004. The theme for discussion is "Community and workplace organising", so if you want to hear our views on the subject (or express your own), get down to the Quaker meeting house, 1a Jewel Rd, at 2pm. A poster for this event can be viewed here.

February 12, 2004: New WAG web site!
Yep, this is it! We've finally ditched the old one and have migrated to this page you see before your very eyes. Expect more frequent news updates from now on :)

February 11, 2004: Cinema redecoration
Check out this picture of the newly-redecorated exterior of the cinema, courtesy of the Reclaim Our Cinema web site! Now that the church is no longer using it, our borough's only cinema looks certain to once again provide us with hours of escapist entertainment -- watch this space for updates as they happen.


February 10, 2004: T-shirts still available
We still have white, grey, blue, red and burgundy T-shirts (featuring a Calvin & Hobbes cartoon and the slogan "refuse-resist-rebel"). Sizes available are small, medium, large and extra-large; the price is £8 including postage. Well-wrapped money can be sent to our PO box (see the Contact section). Don't forget to state your size and colour preferences. Alternatively, if you live in the area, phone or email us and we'll deliver by hand.
